Bitcoin (BTC) breaks past $12,000 again

After a volatile few days that have seen big gains and equally big losses, Bitcoin looks to be on the uptrend again. The top crypto has broken above the $12,000 level for the first time in over 24 hours.

After passing the important psychological barrier of $10k, BTC saw barely any resistance on its apparently unstoppable climb. The momentum eventually stalled at just over $14,000, and then a rapid and significant retracement yesterday saw the price bottom out at around $10.3k.

Now the price has climbed its way back past $12k again almost as fast as it dropped, with a 14 percent increase over the past 24 hours. Around $12,400 was the highest price that BTC was trading at for the 24h period, and it is currently worth around $12,200. The $11.4k point looks to have turned from a resistance back into a support level.
Few resistance points have been identified between here and around $14,000, although there was some major selling pressure around here last time around. If BTC can stay above this level, a new ATH level around $20,000 doesn't look too far away.
